What be a Pirate? PIRATES are TEAM PLAYERS. Without Teamwork, our sails would not be hoisted and the millions of things that go into running this ship would not get done. Everyone knows things get done faster if someone is cheering them on -- we support our fellow members! PIRATES are RESPONSIBLE. There aren't many acceptable excuses that fly on a pirate ship. If you were asked to clean the mess hall within a month, it'd BETTER BE CLEAN-- pirates aren't very happy when they're let down. If we sign up for a round, we PLAN for this round! PIRATES are LOUD. Have you ever met a pirate that just kinda sits in the corner and thinks "well, my input can't be that interesting." NO! Pirates leap into conversation (and danger!) and are ENTHUSIASTIC to say the least! On our boat, this translates to commenting LOTS around the board, and into the peripherals as well! (Fellow DA and Elfwood accounts!) PIRATES have RESPECT. Pirate sassmouth? I don't think so. But this statement has many other meanings: Pirates Respect each OTHER and the RULES. Pirates Respect their CAPTAIN. Also, something that is often forgotten, Pirates RESPECT THEMSELVES. Would I Pirate say: "Gosh, I am just not in the kickassedness today." NO! "I tied this rope, but it's not my best..." THAT ROPE is holdin' up the SAILS!! Give everything your BEST! PIRATES are FAMILY. Aside from that tatoo of "mom" on their arm, shipmates are FAMILY. This attitude should carry off the top-deck, and into the lower decks of the internet.
